Solar Boat?

So the first solar boat is about to cross the atlantic. According to the article, the boat can cross the atlantic as fast as a sailing yacht. So I'm like... um... why not just use a sailing yacht? Think of all the money saved on acres of photovoltaic cells, which are semiconductor devices requiring tremendous amounts of pollution to manufacture (I should know, I'm in the semiconductor business... its pretty messy, and mind-bogglingly energy consuming, and we haven't even started talking about the banks and banks of batteries yet). Sailing is the answer, I say!
